Why ?

1- ) They are financial values, beyond reach of the collapse of money as well as the speculation in artificial values, these which being always fleeting.

2- )Out of fashion, they are timeless and their durability is guaranteed for centuries due to the quality in the making.

3- ) You are guaranteed a top of the range service, from the making to the delivery at your home of your sculpture.

4- ) Jean Paul Floch is also the author of an unpublished interpretation of the Mona Lisa, according to his knowledge in anatomy as well as his experience as a creator.

How ?

1- ) The originality of Jean Paul Floch is to never work from a model, consequently from being a proved specialist in anatomy and, above all, in knowing very well the precise mechanism which makes the human body looking alive :

« 30 years of practice as a physiotherapist have brought me a living knowledge of the human body. Everything that is visible in a sculpture must be in harmony with the underlying anatomy and it is the inside that gives the shape, balance and strength of the sculpture. I do not draw and I never take a model » he says, « Why? Because the theme I wish to convey in a sculpture, the essential idea, is born from inspiration inside of my head.

The essential idea, once defined mentally, has more or less moved from the moment of inspiration. It then takes a bath in a source inside me, but which is not I. While it comes out of this spring, it radiates an essential idea in all its splendour, which no longer belongs to me. It appears then as though naked of all the clothing of my own human emotions, as if it had come from elsewhere : some timeless place.

When this 4th dimension becomes precise and stable, the model appears spontaneously perfectly expressing the essential idea in front of my eyes, if I close them, each time with a face that is different and unique.

This 4th dimension is imprinted into the sculpture and therefore fills the space of your interior with waves emanating from the form that you have chosen.»….

2- ) Jean Paul Floch chooses well known foundries so as to assure you of quality making of his sculptures. A very high level of skill is required from foundry workers, these ones being greatly helped by the technique of the lost wax, so as to reproduce well the numerous details of the original plaster work.

What is called «original bronze » is the reproduction of the original plaster work, limited to 8 works numbered from 1/8 to 8/8, + 4 artist work numbered from I/IV to IV/IV for the artist’s personal use.

Each one of the 8 + 4 works is very lightly different from the others because the artist intervenes in the wax finishing, just before the bronze casting (technique of lost wax).

The foundry moult is destroyed in the artist-s presence after the making of the 8 + 4 works which are numbered and hallmarked by the foundry worker, as well as being registered.

A well known foundry bronze sculpture, sold by the artist himself, is an absolute guarantee that it is not a false copy made with a moulding from one of the 8 + 4 works.
