During the year 2000, he started sculpting in order to immortalize in bronze what he had felt in touching several thousands patients.
In 2002, he became a professional sculptor, while continuing to care for his patients, which he still does today.
«33 years of practice as a physiotherapist have brought me a living knowledge of the human body. Everything that is visible in a sculpture must be in harmony with the underlying anatomy and it is the inside that gives the shape, balance and strength of the sculpture. I do not draw and I never take a model» he says, «Why ? Because the theme that I wish to convey in a sculpture (the essential idea) is created from the inspiration inside my head. When this 4th dimension becomes precise and stable, the model appears spontaneously perfectly expressing the essential idea in front of my eyes, if I close them, each time with a face that is different and unique.
This 4th dimension is imprinted in the sculpture and therefore fills the space of your interior with vibrations emanating from the form that you have chosen.»
